Cole Slaw

Cole slaw is a classic picnic side or a year round favorite with anything BBQ or fired.  It's easy to make and yet never shows up on the table unless you're at KFC.  Which by the way is not a place you should go along with any other fast food establishment.

1 head green cabbage

1/2 head red cabbage

2 large carrots shredded

1 onion minced

1 cup mayonnaise

2/3 cup white sugar

1/2 cup milk

1/4 tablespoons lemon juice

2 tablespoons vinegar

salt and pepper to taste

Whisk together mayonnaise, sugar, milk, lemon juice, vinegar, and salt and pepper in a large bowl.

Toss the cabbage, carrots, and onion into the dressing; mix well. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or up to overnight before serving.
